Golden milk on a yellow gold day
Of snow white daffodils and rosy blooms gay
Out on the roots of a beautiful bay
That shone in the darkness with reverb for miles
And wept with the sunlight which started and piled
On top of a snow-lit canopied hill
Beyond which the trees stood finitely still
And walked through the forests of orange and spice
And played with the leaves and the nearby tree mice
And came into jars and to heavenly mugs
All laden with sweetness and health and warm hugs
And met with a restive reception at last
And poured into each individual glass
A coursing red journey, which swept through the body
Filling the insides with sweetness and glory
Settling down to be processed with ease
As the daylight faded and brought to its knees
The weird evolutions of timing and space
That ended the oft-changing humanoid race
And taught it to love with its feet and its soul
Its fullest and grandest complete potential
A poem is nothing if not human thought
Refined and reworked say but not overwrought
A humble word conduit is all that I be
And thus ends this freewritten word piece ditty. ย ๐

This is the perfect drink to shake off the west coast dampness. Definitely making this tonight. ๐

I’ve sampled golden milk (yum) but never thought to include it in something like chai. This is really brilliant! And delicious looking.

Thank you for this recipe. I needed a safe drink to bring to an event where I was serving hot chocolate for Halloween. Since I was working from 5-8:30, it needed to take the place of dinner. I added 3 dates along with some honey, added black peeper to boost the turmeric, added pumpkin pie spice (after all it is Halloween!), some soaked almonds and some flax seed. Delicious and worked well as a hot drink and as a meal substitute.

This is the best golden milk recipe I’ve found. I have a dairy allergy and tried to find some before I started AIP, they were too harsh and sometimes included black pepper. This is just a warm soothing drink and it appeases your sweet tooth a bit.
