I love making holiday cookies. I just do okay? Typically while blasting holiday music next to a lit up tree. I will do this until kingdom come even if I'm eventually making cookies out of kale and sweet potato (hmm...actually...). In the meantime the below makes a pretty darn tasty cookie - use anything on hand to decorate and don't be afraid to get creative!
Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Mix cookie ingredients together, in order listed.
  3. Roll out on floured parchment paper to about ¼ in. thickness. Cut out holiday cookie shapes and place on parchment-lined baking tray.
  4. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, until cookies have browned.
  5. While cookies are baking, beat icing ingredients together with electric mixer until icing forms. Taste and adjust sweetener/flavoring as needed.
  6. Once cookies have cooled, ice and decorate to your heart's desire.
